Dr. Eileen Forrester was a world class dancer and teacher for over 61 years. She was a true ambassador for the Scottish culture and heritage of Cape Breton Island. She trained over 50 teachers of dance — some of whom now have their own schools, both locally and abroad. In short - Eileen was an icon, mentor, and friend to all. She will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

However, there could be a really unique opportunity here to roll that investment into combining the new CBRM library with the curling club. A very unique union of Canadian sporting culture, along with the library itself. And there would be efficiencies in the construction process. Single permitting, single design phase, single site preparation, and single construction cycle. But, potentially multiple tri-level gov envelopes of available funding. Then the combined facility would serve more of the public, as curling is valuable, but participation isn't as common among citizens. Two birds, one stone. @CBRMGov @CBRLibrary
