@nzpoliticsgroup It would be nice however with the growing number of immigrants from countries that throw rubbish anywhere let alone recycling there’s no point anymore in wasting thoughts over improving recycling facilities.

ALERT: MORE RECYCLING DEPOTS NEEDED IN NZ 🚨🚨🚨 It staggers me how far behind the times New Zealand still is when it comes to recycling. Why aren’t there large, clearly labelled recycling bins at every shopping centre ? These things should be everywhere and easy to find. In Switzerland they have them all over the place — including underground ! It’s 100% free and incredibly convenient. Labour and National need to start thinking outside the square for once and actually sort this out ! I mean, heck — even the Greens would agree with me on this one !! Recycling is a very serious business. @chrisluxonmp @winstonpeters @dbseymour @_chloeswarbrick MAKE NEW ZEALAND CLEAN AGAIN ‼️

@notmyname78 I can’t believe they get any welfare! Coming from countries where there is zero Government help it must feel like a Lotto win. No wonder they’re flooding here and hellbent on staying 😱😱

@NZNationalParty The entire rates system needs to be changed. In its current form is a death sentence for continued home ownership. A single person paying the same as a family or paying more for same services because the house is in a better area? How does a pension afford? It’s a complete rort.

Local government isn’t working the way it should. We’ve got 78 councils across New Zealand with confusing layers that too often result in duplication, disagreements, and decisions that defy common sense. That makes it harder to deliver the basics like roads, water, and housing. Councils now have three months to put forward practical proposals that reduce duplication and deliver better services and value for ratepayers’ money. We’re giving councils the chance to lead, and many are keen. But for those that don’t, we will step in. Either way, change is coming.

@kiwiwayne3 How ghastly and shame on @FlyAirNZ. It’s bad enough with all the Mawee propaganda. Hopefully he’s ignoring the “directive” and saying the truth “Ladies and Gentlemen”.

A mate just text me 😂👇 Here’s a good one for you lads. Just caught up with an Air NZ pilot mate. He was telling me that the company has advised pilots not to refer to passengers as “Ladies and Gentlemen” in their announcements as it’s not all inclusive. How sad and woke is that.

LISTEN: Immigration Minister Erica Stanford responds to ACT’s new immigration policy. One of the frustrating things here is Stanford parroting the old line that “we need the immigrants to do the jobs that Kiwis won’t”. Drug addicts think they “need” their fix too, but at a certain point you have to take a step back and acknowledge that certain states of affairs are unhealthy and need to be changed no matter how strong the felt “need” is. The dairy industry, no matter how profitable, needs to serve the interests of New Zealanders rather than contribute to their replacement. Removing the easy fix of cheap Filipino labour would force the industry to work harder at recruiting young kiwis or pursuing technological solutions.

@TheZeitgeistNZ If migrants were here temporarily then I’d be more accepting enough but the fact they take our passports, benefits and citizenship, clogging up services with thousands of kids, is completely unacceptable and the demise of our country. Look at the UAE. They do it perfectly.

Southland MP Joseph Mooney has embarrassed himself on X defending the India FTA. Rather than addressing real Kiwi concerns about visas, immigration pressure, and cultural change, he lashed out at critics — including everyday New Zealanders — and hysterically claimed a "foreign influence campaign" from British accounts. It's dismissive, out-of-touch, and shows contempt for the very people he represents. If you're disappointed with Joseph Mooney, remember you have a better option. Jason Herrick is a stronger, more grounded voice for Southland.
beehivebadboy@beehivebadboy

Southland Federated Farmers President and dairy farmer Jason Herrick has been announced as New Zealand First’s candidate for the Southland electorate in the 2026 general election. A strong advocate for rural communities, Herrick brings over 30 years of on-the-land experience and was named Advocate of the Year in 2025. @JosephMooneyMP @kominsens The Indian pop of NZ, as per the 1981 census, was 11,244. Today it is close to 300,000. That, in anyone's lingo, is an enormous demographic transformation. NZ is no better off, in productivity terms, for it and social cohesion has declined. You can't expect people not to notice.

@actparty @NZNationalParty I call upon all MPs to put their country before Party and vote down this appalling FTA with India. We have immigration laws so why is there anything about immigration in the FTA? Why are we committing paying billions to India? Kill it and renegotiate.

Chris Hipkins has said that Labour is willing to means test superannuation that would affect hundreds of thousands of kiwi seniors - just like they did in the 1980s. ‘Means testing’ is another way of saying the government will be able to refuse to give you your retirement super income if they decide you don’t deserve it. As the saying goes, when the going gets tough they always go after the young and the old first. Our Kiwi Super is not a benefit, it is a long standing Kiwi entitlement. Kiwis who are 65 or above have worked 30,40, sometimes 50 years paying taxes and building this country. We have an obligation as a government to look after our seniors in their retirement and protect their super. We demanded in our coalition agreement that super won’t be touched - this will never change while NZFirst has a say. NZFirst is the only party that will never allow the hard-fought Kiwi super to be hacked away from our seniors for any short term gain - the rest want to attack it and take it away.
