@ephemeropteran @VCHK_LVNA why would you improve your produce when you can lie or use connections to get your state-mandated check? in a capitalist economy, the final judge is the consumer. In a planned one, it's the bureaucracy. And the second is way easier to fool

@ephemeropteran @VCHK_LVNA and no, the CIA did not create bread lines, or convince local leadership to inflate the productivity of their enterprises to avoid responsibility for failing state mandated plans etc. The planned economy is simply horrible. It was great in war, but in peacetime, it sucks ass

@VCHK_LVNA Persistence is the best metric to measure the performance of a system? If your car works for decades and your neighbour's breaks after two weeks, which car is better?

@Megabyte_0101 duration alone does not prove historical viability, it only proves persistence under given conditions. unless you want permanent imperial war, permanent ecological crisis, and permanent austerity, capitalism has to be overcome and transcendeced

“then what's the issue?” The deep contradictions within the capitalist mode of production that make it unstable and unfit for long term human progress and survivability.

@butchhandcannon @NotPotBol One of the main complains about communism my Polish parents keep going on about was that "there was no unemployment" as if that's axiomatically bad

@Sorry4noname @Nbtoma @BurrowBeliever under communism innovation came from the need for positive PR. The Soviet space program stems from Russian cosmists from Imperial Russia and German scientists from the Nazi Germany. This is a very bad example since most of it wasn't even motivated by need

@Nbtoma @BurrowBeliever Do i need to remind you that the US only took a man to the moon because the USSR was already working on it and they didn't want to stay behind? Under communism innovation comes from need, under capitalism it comes from how to make money.

@ChameleonCorona @Hughmann1999 @BurrowBeliever If the workers built that workplace and organized everything themselves, sure. If you willingly went to work for another individual, don't expect them to give you control of what they've built

@the_zython @AngryLugan13 @BurrowBeliever said "intellectual labor" was writing hundreds of pages of political slop that often contradicted the mainstream science in favor of an imaginary "marxist worldview"
