I’m not being funny but as Esther Rantzen says she was given 6 months to live about 4 yrs ago, then isn’t that good enough reason not to have Assisted Dying made legal as she probably wouldn’t be here today if it was in place.
The medical profession don’t always get it right.

As long as that person is of sound mind and not cohersed. And that no family member is going to inherit millions the sooner mum or dad dies etc. And only if the disease they have will eventually kill them ASAP.

@Jenny_1884 My cancer prognosis is 4-6 months. I have already discussed 'assisted dying' with my GP and it's no problem, all I have to do is ask.

@Jenny_1884 I worked in a hospice, drs are very bad at predicting death, I have seen people given days to live survive many months especially if they have something to live for eg family wedding, I have also seen people told they have months give up and die within days.

Absolutely spot on.
I am fundamentally against assisted dying. As we predicted, it's a slippery slope. Before it, we could start becoming very, very dystopian indeed.
At the end of the day, everybody has it in their own hands to take their own life. We don't need to involve other people in this.
It's a really hateful, hateful ideology.

The Prime Minister appointed Peter Mandelson before the vetting had been completed, vetting Mandelson failed. Starmer then said full due process was followed. THAT is misleading Parliament. I'm only holding him to the same standards to which he’s held previous Prime Ministers - that if they mislead parliament, they should resign. In these dangerous times, Britain cannot afford to have a Prime Minister who the country doesn't trust. Starmer has betrayed our national security. He should go.
