#DYK that our bakery is nut-free certified? ❌ 🥜 Every goodie that comes out of the bakery is certified free from peanut and tree nut (except coconut) allergens by Kitchens with Confidence by @MenuTrinfo, a leading allergen and gluten-free auditing and accreditation firm.

@NoNutTraveler PS: We would certify it ISO 17065 "Certified Free From™" but we would have then test to prove and test regularly. (as happens with all we call ISO CFF) Just to be clearer.

This is a massive concern and also what if an event has both items- the real shrimp and the other- now you rely on correct labeling, staff training, its a whole new world of worries
MenuTrinfo®@MenuTrinfo

@NoNutTraveler @VenterCarina @NewWaveFoods It looks like it is safe. The challenge we see is a bit bigger than the question you asked. It is what other allergens are these types of products introducing that a person would never expect in this type off ingredients. That is a massive concern IMHO

Is this really safe for those with a shrimp allergy? Genuinely curious if anyone knows the answer -@VenterCarina any ideas- Love to hear from @NewWaveFoods too-
New Wave Foods@NewWaveFoods

And that's one of the reasons we're proud to offer New Wave Shrimp®, an inclusive alternative to ocean shrimp that's #plantbased & free from shellfish allergens. It'll be served today @ @foodtank's sold-out Urban AgroEcology: Towards a Sustainable Food Systems Model event in DC.
