Airtel Uganda and government thieves are not any different. I bought 1.5 GB of Data and I entered Sauna, I stepped out of sauna twice, scrolled through my TL and made a few post. They're now telling me that I have used 100% of my data. @Airtel_Ug can't you feel ashamed for once?

My first time witnessing a ‘World War’ was when my sister’s ex-husband’s relatives came to our home to take back the cows they had brought for her dowry three months earlier! I will never forget that day! Their marriage had always been a rocky one; they were just not compatible. However much my sister tried to make things work as a woman, things seemed to get worse.Even the decision to pay the dowry hadn’t sounded like a good idea when her husband told her he wanted to do it, because she always knew someday they would break up. She was against it. However, he had convinced her and she had agreed. A lovely ceremony was organised and the dowry was paid. But three months after that, things had gotten ugly. My sister left the house permanently and went back to our mother’s house. After lots of exchanges between our family and his, threats started flying. His family gave a date when they would come to collect their cows. No matter how much our father pleaded with them for things to be solved amicably, they wouldn’t tone down. I’m sure my sister’s ex-husband was the one fueling all this out of bitterness. We all pitied our dad because he was pleading with them out of fear of being embarrassed! He knew if indeed my sister’s ex-husband’s family came for the cows, it would be a huge embarrassment. The whole village would know… and the way he was so proud of those cows! Those were actually the first cows he had ever owned the first cows to roam his compound. The way he took care of them with so much passion! Grazing and watering them daily, cleaning their shed, calling a vet to check their health often even when none was sick. The way he whistled joyfully as he milked the lactating one. He had even given each one of them a name and the cows also seemed to love him. They recognised him in the most beautiful way. He spoke to them and they responded accurately, like humans. So amazing! We really felt for our dad! Apart from the embarrassment he would feel (the villagers would definitely mock him), he would also feel lonely because he had gotten too attached to these eight cows! After my sister’s ex-husband’s family communicated the date they would come to collect the cows, I shared the news with our uncles and cousins in the village. Upon receiving it, they all gathered at our home and told dad to relax — they would handle the issue on the D-day! Now the D-day came! The day my sister’s ex-husband’s relatives were to come and collect their cows. I swear I had never seen our uncles and male cousins in their ‘element’ like that morning! Pangas were being sharpened in the backyard! All women and children were told to lock themselves inside, and even our dad was ORDERED not to try stepping out of his bedroom. I pitied him as he tried to plead with them to “take things slow” in vain. The cows were locked in their shed and their food served there grass and water . They were not to step out that day. There were also a few ‘boys’ from the neighbourhood who had been brought in and were just hanging around the compound. Time was ticking as everyone anticipated the arrival of the dowry collectors!...To be continued

My phone started ringing at exactly 6:05 a.m. Before I could open my eyes properly, I already had twelve missed calls from my dad. Then his message arrived in capital letters: “COME HOME NOW! HACKERS HAVE FINISHED MY ACCOUNT!” I jumped out of bed thinking it was a real emergency and rushed over without even eating breakfast first. The moment I entered the house, my dad was pacing around the sitting room like a detective solving an international crime. He waved his phone at me and shouted, “Look! ₦20,000 has disappeared overnight!” My mum sat quietly beside him, already suggesting they report the matter to the police before the thieves emptied everything. The atmosphere felt like a family meeting after bad news.

I can't fathom why "natural birth" is something to aspire to. Why are so many women obsessed with the idea of not having pain management during a major medical event like what does that accomplish

Before Anita Among assumed office, Daniel Adilo was working at @UgandaEC where his father had worked and retired from. Among spotted the hardworking young man and demanded for him to be transferred to Parliament. EC said that was not possible. Among insisted and when this failed, Adilo was advised to resign at EC so that he’s recruited (irregularly) at parliament. At EC he was an officer (entry level) but at Parliament he had reached Director level (highest level at Parliament) in 3 years. He was made director for HR which still had another Director so the department had two serving directors-unprecedented but it had become common at parliament in the last 5 years. There were several Directors that were put on katebe (because she couldn’t fire them) to pave way for her favorite people.

Tonite, I feel like gossiping. There’s a wedding that took place last weekend in Moroto and almost the whole town attended (that’s how we do it here). Now, Here’s the gist: people ate and drank so much that they went back to the wedding whatsapp group to contribute more money😂😂😂 In their own words: ‘This wedding has been so good. Let’s contribute more money’😂😂😂 Disclaimer: This only happens in Karamoja. You are poor alone

The lady that supplies food told me that she is paid 10k a day and this is only when she collects 50k and above from her daily supplies. 10k a day that simply ends at 300k a month which is not even possible for her to save, if her rent is 100k transport like 70k depending on where she stays add on some small basic needs like at 50k. To cut the story short, what should be the lowest amount of pay for an employee in Uganda?
