In Australia this is true -under reporting / testing for #combustible #cladding is remains rife. Builders not being held accountable for repairs. #Strata owners ignoring occupiers liability risk. Regulators under resourced to enforce compliance.

In a first of its kind decision a #strata manager has had his license taken away for 10 years. This comes as strata management practices in Au comes under scrutiny for charging practices (although this case seems based on other issues). More to come. abc.net.au/news/2024-07-2…

Long settled law in NSW that the statutory duty of the strata to repair and maintain includes fixing builder developer defects made before the strata was created - Sewias case
