This guy (blocked me btw) is saying what most right wingers think but won't admit: "I support gerrymandering when my side does it, and I oppose it when Democrats do it." Whether it's Scott Jennings or Michael Knowles, this is what they all believe. They won't always say it out loud, but it's the reason why nobody should take their pearl clutching seriously.

And unfortunately, all Virginia‘s can hope for is electing a new governor capable of removing these laws, and a properly redistricted state in four years. I’m not sure I see that happening. It’s gonna be a really fucking bumpy ride and sadly, I don’t see it ending anytime soon.

The tyranny of the majority to silence the minority wins in Virginia. But just barely.
It cost Democrats 70 plus million dollars and their public integrity but I must acknowledge that now we know they will do whatever it takes to gain power and once you know that there are no rules or boundaries they won’t cross it’s…. sobering and freeing.
Disappointing to me personally as a native Virginian who was raised to win (or lose) honorably and fairly and with ideas and hard work but crass power grabs and nationalizing lies and conflicts is the new American politics down to local dog catcher elections. Noted.
Many many thanks to the thousands of wonderful volunteers who put in hours and personal passion to try to save democracy here. Just like those of you who united to support me and our ticket last year I will not forget all you have given to our shared cause.
Get some sleep tonight patriots and think and pray about the future. We have new plans to make and more work than ever to do. 🇺🇸

BTW, the "Make DC Square Again" thing is cute, and sure why not, but it wouldn't touch Fairfax at all, and that's where the problem lies. Population of FFX is more than twice that of Alexandria and Arlington. Yes, it would cut Blue numbers a bit but the heart of the rot is in FFX

It's way too close at this point, and because Red districts are retarded and report immediately the Blue counties will dump at like 9 or 10 pm and have more than enough.
