Brilliant as usual from @helenlewis. It seems right that it's up to millennials to pronounce the death of this kind of feminism. I've been banging on about it for more than a decade, but since I'm GenX, it was usually dismissed as "get off my lawn." But now that all the grass is dead, might as well state the obvious.

I’ve written about the backlash to Adult Braces: “I do feel great sympathy for Lindy West. How was she to know that the great omertà of Millennial Feminism—that we had to take whatever people said about their life stories at face value—had broken?”

"THE SWIMMER [1968] is a surreal, unsettling, and highly stylized masterpiece, featuring an unforgettable performance by Burt Lancaster, and directed by Frank Perry. It is based on the 1964 short story of the same title by author John Cheever. It follows a man’s delusional journey across suburban pools, which serves as a profound allegory for the decline of the American Dream, personal failure, and the loss of youth. A "suburban odyssey" that blends a dreamy, sunny aesthetic with dark, psychological undercurrents, it acts as a blistering satire of upper-middle class affluence, vanity and denial. The film is known for its dream-like, sometimes disjointed narrative, with some viewers seeing it as an interpretation of the descent into Hell."

Dr. Diana Blum: "As a neurologist, I understand how the brain learns. I know that the neuroplasticity of a child is a gift that can be easily exploited. When schools replace actual education with social justice activism, they are quite literally wiring tribalism and resentment into the developing mind. They are teaching children to see color before character, and power dynamics before humanity. This isn't just bad teaching; it is unintentional neurological injury to a generation of humans."

Highly recommended. From the producers of the Witch Trials of JK Rowling (@jk_rowling). Some may disagree with aspects of Ben's analysis, but no one may disagree with what I say in Episode 2.

Why does gender take up so much space in the national psyche? What's behind the anti-LGBT backlash? Can the LGBT movement be saved? And can these questions tearing at the nation be resolved by one egomaniac with a savior complex? "Strange Bedfellows: When LGB Met T" is out now.

Jessie Buckley is an #Oscar winner at just 36 years old. In actor years, that means she hasn’t even entered her prime yet. It’s worth mentioning that she didn’t just win the Academy Award this year- she dominated the entire award’s season. This was a special role worthy of Oscar.

I'm not sure I've ever gone through anything quite this painful before now that my dear sweet puppy is dying. It is grief I have never known. It feels like standing at the top of a deep dark well as I wait out the last moments.

I do not have the emotional capacity to handle losing a dog. Everything is perfectly fine with my beautiful girl Rosie, who is just under four years old. I’m just saying, in general. I see posts of people grieving their dogs all day, and it just crushes me. Even when the human is handling it well.

At FAIR, we believe compassionate, evidence-based care requires open inquiry, informed consent, and the willingness to learn from all patient experiences. Acknowledging and uplifting the stories of #detransitioners is an important part of improving care for everyone. Many detransitioners—especially those who underwent medical interventions as minors—describe lasting physical and psychological harms. Listening to these experiences is essential to strengthening informed consent and protecting future patients. #DetransAwarenessDay #Detrans #GenderDysphoria #informedconsent #patientcare #gender #medicine #donoharm #healthcare

Five years ago, FAIR was just an idea. Today, it’s a movement spanning classrooms, libraries, arts communities, and the Supreme Court. Our most important work is still ahead. With your support, we’re positioned to make the next five years even more impactful than the first. Thank you for believing in what we’re building together. 💙
