@BioMickWatson I guess that when labour were talking so much about growth I hoped that we wouldn't end up seeing stories like this: bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…. Yes the Tories did some irresponsible spending and that needs fixing, but we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water.

@Microbes4ever Well, junior doctors have a 22% pay rise 🤷🏼 I suspect the first year is about clearing up the last governments mess; October we will see tax rises which gives the new government money to spend and grow. Patience is needed.

@_Faecal_Matters I think it might work in non-human species in very controlled environments. For example, if you have a biosecure chicken unit where you know the birds are eating the same thing, they're genetically similar and they're getting exposed to the same environment.
