@dscannerchatter I apparently missed it. The day before yesterday, circa 8-10 pm an explosion rocked First Hill. Actually most neighborhoods. Nothing came of it via the scanner. Someone, somewhere suggested thunder.

I was scheduled for multiple media interviews today, but I canceled all of them. Yesterday, after my interviews I felt drained and realize I need time to recover. I’ve been dealing with headaches, dizziness and lightheadedness and was informed by a doctor that I do have a concussion. Typically I try to work as hard as possible to bring coverage to a story, but this has also been a difficult subject for me to have to rewatch and recount. I appreciate every single media outlet who has reached out to cover this (Fox News, Daily Wire, Glenn Beck, NYPost, BlazeTV, etc.) and apologize for cancelling. Thank you as well to every single person who has reached out and offered support. I am so grateful and feel extremely thankful to each and every one of you. Taking some time to recover.

@SilverInBallard @dscannerchatter And I followed you, as you posted. A rumor was the bear made it to Green Lake (my hood then), scratches on a tree, unconfirmed.

@MitchSpute @dscannerchatter I followed that bear all the way through Ballard by people posting about it from their homes. There were helicopters overhead and people's dogs were going crazy. Eventually, the bear went to ground in a golf course or something up north. Fun Night!

@MitchSpute @dscannerchatter I was on the MyBallard group on Facebook. then I was the moderator of the group and I had been sitting there listening to the scanner in the background while I fiddled around online. I heard the word "bear."

@SilverInBallard @dscannerchatter I recall you posting that the bear was climbing over a fence. I envisioned you in a pickup (I assumed you were a guy), with CB radio, relaying updates. I was new to the whole news junkie thing.

@SilverInBallard @dscannerchatter Oh my, that wouldn't work, but I still love you. I first noticed you when there was a bear in Ballard, you posted updates on the MyBallard site. Probably before I learned to listen to scanner chatter.
