@beyond_capital I don't know. I do know the Southern States could certainly use some covered parking spaces. It's some ancient rule to mow down every tree within a mile for a store. Strip malls are the worst in 9 months out of the year.

You could have nice things, but that would slightly inconvenience the rich.

@rjwood48 @beyond_capital So yes, nuclear is a great answer. Yes, bundled solar like that retains heat, but distributed over millions of flat commercial roofs, it would help stabilize the grid. Also, solar, if built correctly can lose about 10% of capacity after 20 years, so it is longer lasting.

@beyond_capital Actually solar panels create a slightly larger heat island, have significant environmental impacts from productions and decommissioning and that repeats itself every 25 years. If you want clean, nuclear is the answer.

a 30 year mortgage is the biggest scam nobody talks about 80% of your monthly payment isn’t even going toward the house. it’s going to interest, property taxes on a home you technically don’t own, insurance, and other useless shit that does nothing for you you pay $3000 a month and maybe $400 of it goes toward actually owning the house. the rest goes straight into the bank’s pocket for the privilege of borrowing money they created out of thin air and if you stop paying the property taxes on the house you “own” they take it from you. so you never really own it.. you’re just renting it from the government with extra steps by the time you pay it off in 30 years you’ve paid for the house almost 3 times over. a $300k house costs you $800k when it’s all said and done but yeah home ownership is the american dream lmfaoo for the banks maybe

Police don’t prevent crime. They show up after it happens. Crime prevention starts with funding social programs and creating opportunity.
