@kmkm0318 @vmohv Maybe so. The lack of screen time is just disappointing considering FF16 is full of interesting characters, that, while good, could be as great of a character as Clive is, but the game just isn’t designed to give them the attention they need unfortunately.

@MoreLimitless @vmohv However, it is clear that FF16 is, above all, a story focused on Clive’s life. While I understand the desire to see more of the other characters’ adventures, I don’t think it’s fair to consider the game’s lack of such content a flaw.

@kevinlopezbass Tbf I dropped this game the very first time I tried it a couple years ago. This time I just had to look past what I didn’t like to see that there was actually a lot I actually really enjoyed here. But I can see why this game wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, for sure.

It has one of my favorite, most captivating characters arcs and narrative of any mainline game.

@MoreLimitless Even the part where the main story turns into a fetch quest style side quest? I thought it became extremely generic after an hour or two.

@mycursedmscland @Dylli0 Narratively, I don’t think the remakes are the greatest and much prefer the approach XVI or even certain expansions of XIV took with its storytelling. Great games but much too convoluted than I’d prefer.

@vmohv I’d say it’s a wider issue with a lot of the main characters in 16 just barely getting enough or not enough at all because this is so Clive centric that other characters suffer for it.

@vmohv There are merits to her character as a heroine, her relationship with Clive and the parallels in their circumstances as Dominants. I think for me, that relationship highlighted compelling and healthy aspects of her character, but the game barely gives her time to breathe alone.

@Oroxom1 I’m willing to try it because I want to play them all. It definitely sounds like a different direction but I’m interested to try it even more now.

@MoreLimitless Do no let the XC 2 fans kill me, but jut warning you that XC 1 and XC 3 are more similar in tone.XC 2 went for a more, I guess you could say lighter tone and a more unserious anime type of game? If you loved XC 1 maybe 2 will be a whiplash, but there is a ton to love in that game

@MoreLimitless Easily the best FF since XII. So well written. Awesome characters. Emotional roller-coaster. Boss fights are insane. People need to get over the "FF hasn't been good since X" platform and give it a shot.

@zetsubouVolvin Right. The reason I point out the potential shift in tones is because that could effect how popular it becomes if this is meant to be more of a children’s show. But maybe the series can find a good balance to please see fans too.
