Iranians don't call ourselves "people of color." We're not a checkbox for cheap identity politics. This is disgraceful behaviour. Leila Namvar has been VERY vocal on "Free Palestine," and "Trump is bad" but has NOTHING to say for the actual Iranians getting butchered at home. She doesn't represent the Iranian community. She's just another Democrat using her immigrant story and race-baiting to chase cheap votes. Voters in California's District 47, particularly Iranian diaspora, don't assume political candidates who share your ancestry also share your interests.
