SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran sponsors proxy groups of terrorists that don’t care what they blow up. This is an Iran that blew up a Jewish center in Argentina, innovated the use of roadside bombs that killed Americans, and organized assassinations of people who don’t agree with them.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran would rather invest in the rapists and murderers of Hamas than their own people. The BBC and these other media outlets should be covering how evil these people are in Iran and the damage they’ve done to people all over the world.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran has spent millions of dollars sponsoring terrorism all over the world, not improving the life of their people. That’s why their people are always in the street protesting. Their economy is in shambles because the regime doesn’t invest in their economy.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The President wants the world to be in a place where it no longer has to fear or worry about an Iranian nuclear weapon. There has been some good news made on that front.

SECRETARY RUBIO: When this conflict began with Iran, the goals were outlined: 1. Destroy their navy 2. Reduce their ability to launch ballistic missiles 3. Damage their defense industrial base Those objectives were achieved.

SECRETARY RUBIO: There is no one who has been tougher on the issue of Iran’s nuclear ambitions than PRESIDENT TRUMP.  Multiple political leaders have said Iran cannot have nuclear weapons, but the only one who has done something about it in a real way is President Trump.

🚨 SECRETARY RUBIO: The idea that the President is going to agree to a deal that puts Iran in a stronger position on nuclear ambitions is ABSURD. That’s just not going to happen.

SECRETARY RUBIO on IRAN: The President’s preference is to find a diplomatic way that these problems can be solved. He would much rather have the Department of State solve this problem than the Department of War solve it, but the problem will be solved one way or the other.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran is threatening to destroy commercial vessels using an international waterway. If we allowed that to become normal, we’d be normalizing an unacceptable status quo and setting a dangerous precedent that can be replicated in this region and around the world.

From Kolkata to New Delhi, Day 1 of @SecRubio’s visit to India highlighted the strength of the U.S.-India partnership. From paying tribute to Mother Teresa at Mother House and meeting with Prime Minister Modi to opening a new U.S. Embassy facility and engaging with government and business leaders, the day showcased our shared commitment to a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon, certainly not as long as Donald Trump is President of the United States.

SECRETARY RUBIO: We’re modernizing our immigration system for the 21st century so that it’s an immigration system that is good for America and the people coming.  Once we have modernized, we’re going to wind up with a system that’s more efficient and beneficial.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Everything you do as a country needs to be in your national interest. That includes immigration policy. The U.S. is a welcoming country on immigration, but it has to be a process that is adjusted in every era to the realities of the modern times we live in.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The breadth and scope of the list of issues we work together with India on highlights that India is one of the most important strategic partnerships of the United States in the world.

Dedicated a new consular wing at our Embassy in New Delhi that will provide the necessary infrastructure for more rigorous vetting, processing, and screening to protect U.S. borders. Every visa decision is a national security decision, and I’m proud to empower the Americans who work here as they serve on the frontlines of advancing our interests and President Trump’s America First foreign policy.

In New Delhi, I met with Indian Prime Minister @narendramodi to underscore the importance of the U.S.-India relationship. We discussed the situation in the Middle East and U.S.-India partnership in energy, securing critical supply chains, and collaboration on emerging technologies. I was pleased to invite Prime Minister Modi to the White House on behalf of the President.
