Exc: What will Labour name its new towns? We can reveal some options drawn up by officials... - Elizabethtown (after late Queen) - Pankhurst (after suffragette Emmeline) - Attleeton (after ex-PM) - Athelstan (first King of England) - Seacole (after nurse Mary)

'I think he's bananas about this stuff, frankly.' Podcaster Dominic Sandbrook takes umbrage with his co-host's 'rubbish' views on Islam.

Yes. Fatherhood is the best thing that's happened to me. But why are fewer doing it? Cost. Housing. Income. Pessimism. Warped priorities. But also less 'coupling'. More ppl single -> less sex -> fewer babies. Why? Our public realm (pubs, parks, youth clubs, labour clubs) has been replaced by isolated, privatised spaces (Tik Tok, FB, scrolling, uber eats). Less booze, connection and community, fewer unexpected meetings, less time for romance and joy and relationships. For most, the public realm is the space for freedom, love, and hope. We should do everything to restore it.
