There will likely be votes to expel two members of Congress next week. I really don’t care what side you are on. If you are stealing FEMA funds, sexually assaulting women, harassing them, etc. you need to get out of the House of Representatives. Maybe leadership on both sides needs to LEAD instead of hiding under rocks and behind vaguely worded statements carefully written to make the American people hate you even more.

So. Had my first appt with the oncologist yesterday. Stage 4 metastatic cancer, incurable, average life expectancy 2-3 years. Not the news I wanted. Their hope is to do chemo before any surgery to try and shrink the tumor and best case scenario, manage this as a chronic condition. I’m crushed and sick to my stomach at the thought of leaving Jake. He would be heartbroken without me here.

He chose a $150K unconditional bond, kept his passport, and fled the country.

NEW: Chicago "teens" ambush a man in a parked vehicle in a shooting with nearly 40 seconds of continuous gunfire
Chicago police say a 31-year-old man was sitting in a parked vehicle when two cars, a light blue sedan and a red sedan, pulled up alongside him
Occupants from both vehicles opened fire on his car
The man got out of the vehicle and was struck multiple times by gunfire
He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken for treatment. No arrests have been made so far.
