Schoolgirl, 15, allegedly told teenage boy 'she didn't want to go out with him anymore and rejected flowers' moments before he knifed her to death with a machete on her way to school. Boys are afraid that girls will laugh at them. Girls are afraid that boys will kill them.

Not even October yet and we've got two trips in the pipeline. Back to the Hodder criminology conference for our social scientists, and off to Tottenham Hotspur stadium for a universities fair with KS5!

A very successful results day for our KS5 social scientists today. Excellent results across the board despite harsher boundaries than we were expecting, they smashed it out the park. Very, very proud moment! 💜

Today was the end of our social science exam season. The year 13 sociologists came out of paper 3 smiling and made a beautiful end to my role in their journey so far. Oh I'm going to miss my social scientists 💜🥰

Exam season has officially begun & the palpable energy shift has started.

Our first exam is year 12 psychology on Monday, swiftly followed by 11 sociology on Tuesday. Just confused how we got here so fast seeing as last week was autumn term. ⌛️⌛️⌛️

I had the best sociological conversations with my 13s today in our social class & achievement recap lessons. Students thinking deeply, using their sociological imaginations, applying concepts to real contexts and having so many realisations 💜💜

@Maria1986Anna After teaching the content I had them in the two lines, person at the front is pre-synaptic & the end is post-synaptic. They randomly picked up some green / red paper balls to represent NTs and had to pass the "transmission" down the line, deciding at the end the summation

Got creative teaching year 12 about synaptic transmission. They left on a buzz and said how much they enjoy the content! Will take it as a win 💪🏼

Very proud of what we achieved on our first run of this series. Looking forward to next spring when we go again!

@robertjnixonRNX I have had tutor time this week, very much supported. The sheer numbers just make it difficult even with the extra 30 mins

@MsGriffiths5 With a marking load like that it would not be unreasonable to ask your LM for time off timetable to do it. That is what I did when I had 8 EPQs this year.

Is marking 112 A Level exam mock papers as one person outrageous, or within normal range and I'm dramatic? 🤔
