I know some aren’t on Insta - Life Update: I have a shoe dropping with Jordan Brand My ‘23 Chicago @Jumpman23 Women’s Collective sisters and I collaborated w/ Jordan brand on a shoe we are LIVE!  Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine I’d say, “I have shoe dropping with Jordan brand”. If I’ve learned anything in life so far, it’s to lean into faith and keep going. Trust yourself all while learning and growing along the way, move with gratitude, love and intention. It’s been all the way up ever since This one is a nod to the Chicago woman while paying homage to the iconic bred colorway. The colorway signifies the backdrop of Chicago. The upper turquoise and grey represent the flowing and adaptable waters of Lake Michigan coupled w/ the grey winter skies and steadfast beauty of our skyline w/ all of its architecture that stand tall and proud, akin to the Chicago woman. Bred signifies breaking barriers, being unapologetic in your pursuits to be the best you. It’s about staying locked in and staying true despite the critics and haters to achieve unfathomable heights. When you photo invert the colors of the shoe, you get the bred colorway. We chose the AJ1 low silhouette because of the its rich history and the versatility synonymous with lows. They’re the pair you throw on and get to your day.  The glossy crinkled leather turquoise on the upper alongside the smooth leather grey upper represent edge, grit, hard work, determination and versatility. This is the Chicagoan, this is the greatest player of all time. It encapsulates the diverse & beautiful city Chicago is. We’re Midwest nice but will stop at nothing & for no one to achieve our goals, no excuses, no stops, no brakes. I want you to feel fly, fearless and bold in this shoe. This shoe is an attitude. I’m so grateful for my Collective sisters, my family & friends who’ve loved & supported me endlessly, the lessons that made me and Jordan Brand for continuously investing in women. Chicago, I love you, this is for you. I l The AJ1 Low Se ‘Inverted’ inspired by my Jordan sisters and I, out now. 🙏🏽🤞🏽 #inmyJs

@MsMeliss Jordan is the goat and it's not close, greatest of all time and best of all time are 2 different things, no one is close to the impact he had on the game as a whole, but u can argue there are players (well... lebron only rn) that have been better at the game of basketball

Vulnerability Moment: Yesterday really got cha girl. I preface this conversation with saying that most people feel good when they look good. And taking some time for self-care is incredibly important. But when your self-care day goes to shit, its hard to regroup (1/⤵️)

when I start noticing that the ONLY engagement you do on this app is arguing and attempting to dunk on folks and nothing else, it’s an easy unfollow for me. same obviously goes for hateful folks, I hope yall heal but it’s wasted energy to engage with those types.

@SheKnowsSports You are beautiful no matter what and what makes you even MORE beautiful is who you are and the confidence + vulnerability you have to share your story with others that it may resonate with. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this but I’m proud of you for remembering who you are. ❤️

@WGH2nd exactly. we’re all on this app to socialize and engage but then you got folks letting their miserable lives and hateful existences ruining what should be healthy interaction, but I know that’s just social media. STILL SAD THOUGH

we can have convos about hoop, have different opinions and debate about them, change opinions w new info but what we are NOT gonna do is get disrespectful w/ each other about HOOP. Basketball is an outlet, it’s a GAME meant to be enjoyed. Enjoy it.

@TheNBAIndex Exaaaaaactly. You have to get to learn your people before you can learn how to lead, motivate and teach most effectively to get the most out of your players and earn their trust and respect

Spot on. Phil used to talk about how he needed to coach MJ, Scottie, & Horace differently. Horace needed to be coached hard & could take criticism. Scottie was more sensitive & needed a more measured approach. MJ never needed motivation, but didn’t trust his teammates & needed to learn to rely on them. Different personalities require different coaching styles. Progression is rarely linear and players evolve at different rates. The best coaches understand this and adapt accordingly.

I love this insight bc some players develop by playing through mistakes, while others, like Matas, says he gets better coming back off the bench after a mistake. Coaching isn’t black and white, you need to know your personnel & what they respond to, it’s not one size fits all
Julia Poe@byjuliapoe

Billy Donovan didn’t hesitate to sit Matas Buzelis against Sacramento. He also didn’t hold back in giving him the LeBron matchup. After a career night, the rookie explained why he benefits from this type of coaching: “Whenever he takes me out for a mistake, I get better.”
