🚨 MORE DETAILS.... On March 18, 2026, 36-year-old Tyresse Leonard Jones, a former flag football coach and security guard at Miami Northwestern Senior High School in Miami-Dade County, was arrested by Miami-Dade Schools Police. Jones, who had been reassigned to JC Bermudez Doral Senior High School away from students during the probe, allegedly targeted a female student under 18 whom he had previously coached. Initially, friendly communications via Instagram and phone turned explicit after she rejected his advances. According to the arrest report, Jones sent messages including: "Man, I wanna make you my girl. I ain't tryna play you or try you, I want you bad," and "I wanna hunch you real good. I’m just being honest." He reportedly offered money, hair and nail care, or other incentives in exchange for sexual acts, saying things like "If U doing yo thang with me... Yeah Ima send a lil check if I have to." When the student declined invitations to meet privately, including in the school locker room, Jones allegedly became physical: grabbing her jacket near the chest, pinning her against a wall, and brushing his hand across her body, acts constituting battery and child abuse without great bodily harm. The student reported the incidents around March 10. After an investigation and interview, detectives arrested Jones at his reassigned school. He faces charges of offenses against students by an authority figure, child abuse, and battery. He was held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with a bond to be set. Miami-Dade County Public Schools condemned the behavior, stating it violates professional standards, and initiated termination proceedings to bar Jones from future district employment. The victim's mother expressed outrage, emphasizing the breach of trust by someone meant to protect students.
