I am VERY much so aware of the price of RAM these days. It's my business to know.
I bought this ram, as shown, last March for the very machine I type this on. It was $144, that's what I paid. 64gb. This SAME KIT is now $700.
A single stick of 16gb is $250.

Valve has LITERALLY SAID that the costs of these things is why it's the price it is. They inferred that they wanted to price it closer to what the current Steam Deck cost is, but these two components being in high demand screwed the plans.
