There was a woman in Nigeria who used to help me run errands from time to time. She has three children, and her husband is a bus driver,whenever she had a genuine need, I would send her some money to help out,at one point, a friend of mine helped her secure a cleaning job. After a while, the requests for money started becoming more frequent, so I asked how the job was going. She told me the people she worked for didn't treat her well, so she decided to quit. Later, my friend gave me a completely different version of events. According to her, the woman was constantly taking the job for granted, showing little commitment, and was eventually let go. Since she kept asking for financial help, I asked her what she would like to do for herself so she wouldn't have to depend on others,She told me that selling fufu was very lucrative in her area. Her plan was to cook, mold, and supply it to restaurants. I decided to support her and gave her enough money to get started,far more than she was expecting. Now the problem. Her children have started calling me directly to ask for things. One day it's money for books, another day it's a school fees, then clothes, then some other expense. I'm beginning to feel like I've gone from helping someone occasionally to becoming part of their family budget. At this point, I'm seriously considering blocking her.

Today's service reminded me of a Job seeker who have been believing God to land a good job for months. We all knew she didn't have a job and assisted in recommending and sending every job update we came across. Then one Sunday, she shared a testimony of how God have finally blessed her with a job. We were all happy and celebrated with her. Few months later she was fired. I went closer to find out what happened. She confessed that she actually slept with her employer to get the job. Now that employer is asking her to be his mistress and her conscience is judging her. She refused and he fired her. For a moment I realized that mocking God have become a normality in the body of Christ How did we get here 🫣

X nearly ruined my relationship yesterday I was chatting with my babe last night when sleep started dealing with me. So I told her: "Babe, I'm sleepy. Let's continue tomorrow." She said okay. Normal stuff. Then I made the biggest mistake. I opened X. Just to check one or two tweets. That's all. Next thing, I was liking posts. Replying mutuals. Reposting tweets. Laughing at comments. One minute turned into 10. 10 minutes turned into 1 hour. Before I knew it, I had spent half the night on X. Eventually, I slept. This morning I woke up and noticed something. My babe had liked almost every single repost and comment I made after I told her I was going to sleep. Every. Single. One. Meaning while I was supposedly "sleeping"... Madam was gathering evidence. Now guess who is no longer replying my messages this morning? X can turn an innocent person into a suspect overnight.
