Grad student Tomi Onabanjo was selected as one of 10 Emerging Critics by the National Book Critics Circle. As a fellow in this yearlong program, Tomi will receive professional mentorship and guidance from members of the NBCC regarding the craft of book criticism. Congrats, Tomi!

.@MarthaHodes has completed her 2-year term as interim director of the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the NYPL. Her book My Hijacking: A Personal History of Forgetting and Remembering was published in June by HarperCollins. Congratulations and welcome back, Martha!

@_BettyBanks, 2019 PhD graduate, was recently awarded a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship at @HCAatEdinburgh, beginning 2024, which provides three years of funding for her international history of industrial fishing, Cold War Cod.👏
