We would also like to offer a heartfelt thank you to @ShaunBaileyUK for hosting us at the House of Lords and for his inspiring opening speech. It meant a great deal to mark this milestone in such a significant place and reflect on the work still ahead.

On Friday, we were delighted to meet with @wesstreeting who visited our #mentalhealth service in #Redbridge and spoke with @NathanSingleton and members of our @LPFamilies and @FaithActionNet teams as well as beneficiaries taking part in one of our art sessions.

Today, we were extremely pleased to welcome Fiona Taylor, Chief Executive of @lbbdcouncil. She had the opportunity to speak with @NathanSingleton as well as hear from members of our team running programmes for young people, families, and faith groups in Barking and Dagenham.

As Deputy Prime Minister, I’m focused on delivering for the British people and I tend to ignore the noise. But in the past week I’ve been sent stories about: – A Reform mayoral candidate telling me to “go home” to the Caribbean where he said my “loyalties lie”. – A Reform councillor’s TikTok account endorsing a comment calling me a “greedy none (sic) thoroughbred”. – A Reform council leader referring to me saying “no foreign national or first-generation migrant should be allowed to sit in Parliament” - apparently unaware I’m a British citizen born in North London. I will never be cowed by racism. But I will call it what it is. @Nigel_Farage, you need to clean up your party and stamp out this 1950s-style hate.
