Decades of Tory neglect, then Labour’s total disregard for proper defence spending and open-borders obsession have left us weak, broke and irrelevant on the world stage. I can think of another Henry VIII power we should use today... Under the Treason Act 1351, it is high treason if a man is “adherent to the King’s Enemies in his Realm, giving to them Aid and Comfort in the Realm, or elsewhere.” Starmer using ancient powers to drag us back into the EU against the will of the British people — handing sovereignty to foreign powers without a vote — is a clear betrayal of the realm.
