As my year as @NAIC President comes to a close, I’m proud of the progress we made together—during a demanding year for insurance markets and regulators. 🧵 Spring Mtg: “Every day is crunch time for insurance regulators—because when consumers call us, it’s usually one of the toughest days of their lives.” That reality shaped our work all year. Summer Mtg: “RBC has evolved. It’s no longer just a once-a-year number—it’s a year-round lens into solvency.” The RBC Model Governance Task Force tackled one of the most consequential issues in global insurance regulation—modernizing governance with clarity and discipline. The crown jewel of the year. Fall Mtg: “Our work is rising in visibility, urgency, and impact—and that’s because people are paying attention.” More work remains—but this year showed the strength of the bipartisan, state-based system.
