My first year at #SPIELitho 2024, San Jose, CA. I'm happy to get a chance to learn from legends such as Martin Van den Brink, CTO of ASML about history of lithography that enabled chip scaling, tribute to Gordon Moore @SPIEtweets

@Cyberplasm I've seen stiffening of the brain tissue and embryos which also depended on the duration of fixation. However, I was still able to see regional stiffness differences on both samples. Of course, biological relevance is questionable and better to use fresh tissues.

It has been a pleasure learning so much at this year's #ExpBio conference! Got to hear from Zachary S. Clayton at @CUBoulder and from Dr. Keely Cassidy from @embryoed!😎 Keep up the great work folks! Don't forget to check out Optic11Lifes's booth today🤓bit.ly/3vp2YkK

The mechanical properties of white blood cells change (rigidity and viscosity) when they come into contact with pathogens! More details in a recent study by @_julienhusson from the LadHyX lab (@CNRSIdFSud), published in @BiophysJ ➡️ bit.ly/3bXYTNx

White blood cells create protrusions to effectively reach out, lock-on, and possibly attack their prey. Watch how in mere seconds these cells can morph and begin to probe their environment. Read more in @BiophysJ hubs.ly/H0JkLNQ0 Credit: @_julienhusson

Another great study by @michelleoyen et al reportd a nanoindentation approach to profile viscoelasticity + poroelasticity of healthy or diseasd tissue models. The results have implications for fundamentl physiological studies, includg clinical studies. bit.ly/3cQRAGx
