Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the cast and company of The Book of Mormon and our audiences, performances for The Book of Mormon will be cancelled on Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 6.
@reviewjournal Not sure why the rapists aren’t being charged. It is illegal to commit sexual crimes against children, period. Must be some pretty high profile parents with a lot of money. @AaronDFordNV Why isn’t something being done? Not confident you will protect our children as Governor
A case has shocked the Las Vegas Valley while challenging notions of private schools as safe havens and raising questions about what constitutes justice.

@JaredWDrury@WallStreetApes If man were altruistic and helped each other for no reason other than it’s the right thing to do, there would be no need for a government but as that is not the case, man has out these constraints on itself and thus, must pay taxes.
The answer to that question is complex. For one, I don't have to have an answer for all "what about" questions and they are unimportant. If your house is on fire, you extinguish the fire, you don't look for alternatives to replace the fire.
The government does not build roads. Its steals a significant amount of money from us,wastes a bunch of it and then pays someone else to build the roads. Road construction companies build roads. I don't think it is beyond the realm of our ability to find some way to pay them directly to build the roads. They could implement whatever system they wanted to assure they get paid by the people using the roads. Those companies would also be incentivized to build higher quality roads that last longer because they would have a direct financial interest in doing so.
That would be a morally correct way to do things, or it could be some entirely different way. However, the important part is that it should not be done with stolen money. Taking something that doesn't belong to you is theft, it doesn't matter what language they use to dress it up. If you want to live in a moral society, than YOU have to have principles. If you think stealing is wrong, than you must be against government. It's the only logically morally correct position.
Taxation is theft.
There is an ongoing issue in Las Vegas with “ghost cars”
“Can someone explain to me why there's so many people in Las Vegas that drive with no license plate? This is every single day. Every single day I see about 20 cars that are driving with no license, no registration”
Illegals have been pulled over and caught driving these vehicles without license plates
Nevada has some of the highest vehicle registration fees in America so many drivers just opt out of paying
@JaredWDrury@WallStreetApes One doesn’t pay for auto registration if they don’t have an auto. If one has an auto, it is a valid assumption they use public roads. So how else should road usage be collected if not through registration fees and gas taxes?
They should be paid for by the people that use them. You don't have to steal from everyone to get the things people need. We had a military, roads, schools, etc. before there was an income tax. Only businesses are supposed to pay tax, but the government has inverted that dynamic.
@WallStreetApes Taxation is theft, those people are patriots. I bought a new car in June 22 and didn't have to pay the tax on it until Dec. 24 because I just never got pulled over. They literally just print money, there is no reason to "pay" them anything.
@FixingEducation Continuously pointing out negative situations and complaining doesn’t “Fix Education”. Folks truly interested in building a better system and helping ALL students should follow other posters such as @The74
During a great class discussion, a student who wasn’t participating and kept interrupting, accused the teacher of being racist after being asked to stop. The accusation had no basis.
Should there be consequences for false claims like this?
With over 2,000 votes tallied, the final results are in for your favorite Las Vegas NBA team nickname... and there's a clear favorite.

@FixingEducation Catch 22 because they won’t learn those skills sitting at home and eventually they become adults without those skills, which is a bigger blight on society than when they’re kids without those skills. Keeping kids at home where the modeling isn’t happening won’t fix anything.
Schools must demand more from kids—with FULL parent support.
✅ Must show up every day unless sick, etc
✅ Basic Manners & Respect
✅ Clean up after themselves in the cafeteria
✅ And provide actual consequences for those that don’t.
AND IF the student continues their misbehaviors, make virtual schooling the only option for them.
RAISING EXPECTATIONS…it’s how we build capable, respectful adults.
@everymovieandtv The stupidity of the teacher to hand out candy, but not call 911 shows the ineptness of human beings in these types of situations. WTF!!!
The 15-year-old is one of two teens being prosecuted as an adult following the alleged assault in Costa Rica last April while the students involved were on a trip with their Summerlin school.
