I could say I am deaf (the hearing condition) or I am Deaf (if referring to culture). Same. If referring only to skin I would say Obama is black. But I didn't know where the question was headed.

Racism was almost non-existent by the end of the 90s. It rose tenfold after Obama took office. This was all by design.
