@NewEngSepratist @chung_wow @klissbliss @2eggwhite I've worked on farms, in a grocery store, and in a couple restaurants I know how the food supply works in the US. Fresh means fresh. Produce literally leaves the farm its washed sorted and refrigerated not frozen. And clearly you have no idea what the term chimping out means.

You need to define "fresh vegetables", because "fresh" produce sold in grocery stores has been flash-frozen in storage for months prior to its thaw and sale, likewise with sold-frozen vegetables.

By 1933 the FDA was pushing the government for more powers and much stronger regulation of produce and meat standards.

The ingredients are still cheap when adjusted for inflation, the type of store she chose to visit just doesn't carry fresh produce (which is nutritionally no different to frozen), the hotdogs aren't any worse in quality or nutrients.
