You both probably poor as hell and ignorant. Heretics! Your moral and ethic values matters not your blood.

Watching a budget cooking video and the woman has to adjust a literal Great Depression recipe because the ingredients would be too expensive in 2026

@NewEngSepratist @chung_wow @klissbliss @2eggwhite I've worked on farms, in a grocery store, and in a couple restaurants I know how the food supply works in the US. Fresh means fresh. Produce literally leaves the farm its washed sorted and refrigerated not frozen. And clearly you have no idea what the term chimping out means.

@ii_rick57363 @glorparoo @2eggwhite Buddy, that's the story you want to stick with? The USFA was a WWI program created by Woodrow Wilson, Hoover chaired it. The FFB didn't regulate consumer quality of produce and meat, it was a relief program for farmers. Lmfao, you so clearly misread the answer the AI gave you

@ii_rick57363 @glorparoo @2eggwhite Trust me, I'd love to, but then there'd be nobody with brains left to discuss American history. Seriously, just blow me away with enlightenment, what were the names of these two agencies which he created that regulated the quality of food sold to consumers in the US?

@NewEngSepratist @glorparoo @2eggwhite Nice completely wrong chat gpt response. Hoover never deregulated any food or drug standards and actually added 2 other agencies to help improve food standards in the US. Also Roosevelts regulations were extremely effective. Stick to Australian history retard.

@ii_rick57363 @glorparoo @2eggwhite Except the legislation Roosevelt introduced was weak at preventing the tainting the book discusses, made even weaker by Hoover's clumsy attempts at deregulation. By 1933 the FDA was pushing the government for more powers and much stronger regulation of produce and meat standards.

@glorparoo @2eggwhite @NewEngSepratist Actually after double checking myself the jungle by Upton Sinclair was actually published in 1906. My bad so yes 20th century but it was the reason Roosevelt founded the FDA the same year. So still 24yrs before before the depression.

@klissbliss @2eggwhite @ii_rick57363 There's fewer cases of scurvy, mumps, vitamin deficiency and general micronutritional deficiency diseases today than in the 1930's. The micronutrients people aren't getting enough of today are from a lack of vegetables, not a lack of 1930's hotdogs. Think for a minute about this.

@NewEngSepratist @2eggwhite @ii_rick57363 you can absolutely get your daily worth of calories and protein but still be malnourished it takes elementary dietary knowledge readily available in 2026 to know that

@2eggwhite @ii_rick57363 Yeah buddy, the Great Depression might have caused the average height of men (which had been consistently growing prior) to attenuate for a couple years, but I'm sure you're onto something about those "bioavailable nutritive elements" being so important

@NewEngSepratist @ii_rick57363 It is my presumption that 1933 sausage had more bioavailable nutritive elements than 2026 blended bleached chicken ankle tendon loaf. And that is my judge of goodness in the food #Opinion #RightOrWrong
