@nyahnextdoor Nothing over the past year in basketball football or baseball has made sense.

This is just more proof that #those Yankees fans care more about optics than actual production on the field
Since May 1st, Jazz ranks 4th among second basemen in fWAR, 5th in OPS, 3rd in HRs, and has played good defense
But grown men are complaining about a lollipop, lmao
NYY UNDERGROUND@NYYUNDERGROUND
The comments regarding Jazz sucking a damn lolipop during the game is WILD. "Its not a big deal bro" ok buddy.

He has had his players back in almost every situation. Sometimes to a fault. I am surprised this is the situation he decides to criticize a player publicly. I do not think it’s a big deal. I don’t see a difference between this and eating seeds on the field with a bag in ur pocket

Aaron Boone didn't like that Jazz Chisholm Jr. was playing second base with a lollipop in his mouth last night

@GarysheffieldJr She said he wasn’t a 1A dude. Now she says “he was that 1A dude”
Now she spins it to make herself the victim — as if people are mad because she had an opinion
That wasn’t it at all.
Everyone else who said Knicks & Brunson couldn’t win simply said they were wrong days ago
English

@johnnyjohnjon83 @GarysheffieldJr Gary is also a “analyst” so if she apologizes for “her really stupid and uninformed take” then the hundreds of thousands that use a mic daily might be held accountable for their criticism for a player. They enjoy sweeping shit under rug when clearly wrong

The problem is, she didn’t share an opinion.. she was speaking as a matter of factly. If she said something like “imo JB isn’t a 1A…” or something to that extent, showing it was her opinion it’ll be one thing. But she stated it like it was a fact, she treated it as it was a fact. You know who else had the same sentiments? Stephen A, Paul Pierce, Draymond Green.. others.. and guess what, they all took accountability and admitted they were wrong. Why do we leave in a society where we are scared to admit when we are wrong?
English

She’s absolutely correct
If you apologize for your sports takes you have got to be the biggest loser alive
ESPN doesn’t pay personalities to cower every time they’re wrong. Otherwise why share opinions at all?
NBACentral@TheDunkCentral
Becky Hammon says she’s not apologizing to Jalen Brunson “Jalen, all he did was prove history wrong. He proves he’s an outlier, so you can put his name next to Steph Curry and Isiah Thomas, and I thought he played brilliantly, especially down the stretch. I mean, he was that 1A dude, but apologize? I’m never gonna apologize for having an opinion. That’s what ESPN pays me for.” (Via @madkenney )

@johnnyjohnjon83 @GarysheffieldJr Also completely ignoring the fact her statement was about the east not even winning a chip. She said the Knicks couldn’t even get out the east forget win it all lmao. Not only was she wrong she faced criticism then no hindsight.
English

@johnnyjohnjon83 @GarysheffieldJr Because we live in a society where some like to act like they are above reproach. They believe their view is so antiquated and above the rest that even if they are wrong that’s just a rare case lol. Jazz could hit .270 25 hr and 85 rbi and this guy would still want him gone.

@GarysheffieldJr @Mann_O_Steel17 It was a specific and direct question about one player. She said he wasn’t a dude or 1a. She was wrong. Mental gymnastics not changing that.
English

@GarysheffieldJr @Mann_O_Steel17 Comparing a normal stranger to one paid for their e”expertise” a but strange. Idk what’s happened but it’s like you just want to oppose just for the f of it. There is no shame in saying “I was wrong” dying on the “he proved history wrong not me” is so pathetic
English

@Mann_O_Steel17 The more likely situation is you’d just ignore my request because that’s what normal people do.
She isn’t interested in receipts/social media banter. She shouldn’t be. Leave that for the Twitter feeds that lead no where but to an argument anyway
English

@GarysheffieldJr I think that’s a bit much. Everyone has an opinion doesn’t make it right or wrong. However if you’re getting paid for your “insight” and objectivity which is why espn hired her not bc she’s cute, than why can’t you address when you’re wrong the way many do when they are right?
