The new Olympic rule bans only trans women from women’s events; trans men aren’t mentioned at all. If this were truly about fairness and safety, it would apply consistently. Targeting one specific group raises serious questions about the real motive.

@Furiosa24 @tsmiggy Yes considering the cost of living it should all definitely be higher! The retirement age going up is a joke too. It just means that more older people will be forced to claim UC while they wait to be eligible for state pension.

Crazy i have a small extra income of around £3200, which takes me over the threshold of £12570, when added to my state pension. So i have to pay tax. Yet i know people on other benefits that receive far more than that tax free. How can that be fair.

@muckfe111 @tsmiggy Some countries have this kind of approach for certain benefits like the French do with jobseekers, you get more if you paid more tax in your previous job. But they also pay a lot higher to the disabled/long term sick who were never able to contribute.

@barneyboy2k @tsmiggy What I THINK is that pensions should be higher, not taxed, earlier retirement age, and that the cost of living should be addressed for all. But all of that is irrelevant because it won’t change the FACT that it’s a benefit that is included in government welfare spending.
