Back in November right before the changes were made to this site, I decided to delete all posts containing my voice clips, as well as the clips & art of other people I worked with for game jams. I'll be making more VO posts & promos where the skies are bluer.

I have always believed that the industry needs a shift, to allow more for those that work hard outside of main hubs. Not everyone wants to move. Or can afford to. Some people have health issues. Some people have jobs/things/family they love and want to be near. We need. Change.

This is going to be negative and I’m sorry in advance but: voiceover is not accessible yet and it really has the tools to be. It’s frustrating, exhausting, and can feel so hopeless. There are paths forward but there has to be so much noise to get there. More noise. Be loud.

Disabled, POC and LGBT actors can be everywhere and all of the above. Quality control, transparent communication, accessibility, and more opportunities can all exist simultaneously, My basic litmus test for empathy is caring about someone without needing to stand next to them.

Canada writes these statements, but continue to supply Israel with weapons via the United States, and continues to buy weapons from Israel. Always performance and never real action.
Foreign Policy CAN@CanadaFP

Canada strongly condemns Israel’s plans to occupy territory in southern Lebanon. Lebanon’s sovereignty & territorial integrity must not be violated. Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel must cease and they must disarm.

If you believe in my story and in my determination to continue learning despite the war, you can help me continue my dream. I dream of continuing my path toward a PhD, but I need your support to be able to begin and cover its costs. Your donation or sharing my campaign brings me one step closer to this dream. chuffed.org/project/155211…

In this photo, I am holding my Master’s thesis, which I defended during the war in Gaza… Not in a quiet hall like in universities around the world, but in Gaza, under the sound of planes and bombardment. Sometimes I studied by the light of a candle, sometimes while I was hungry, and sometimes after returning from searching for food for my children, Imad and Adam. And sometimes while I was freezing from the severe cold inside my tent. The nights were long, and fear was always close, but my dream was greater than my fear. Every night I told myself: Do not stop… read one more page. Maybe this is the one thing the war cannot take away from you. I was not only seeking a degree. I was trying to tell the world that in Gaza there is a human being who loves knowledge, that in this besieged land there are minds that still dream, and that bombardment may destroy houses… but it cannot destroy determination. This degree is not mine alone, but for every child in Gaza who still dreams of holding a book instead of carrying fear. 💔 I dedicate this success to you, my friends around the world ❤️

Good morning from Gaza 🍉 This morning I am sitting with my son Imad, trying to teach him how to read and write. There are no schools here now, but he is at the stage where he must begin learning. We are trying to create a small school inside our tent, so the world can see that the children of Gaza love learning and love life despite everything. If you care about me and my children, please leave a comment that I can read to Imad to encourage him in his studies… or simply write a dot (.). Your small words may give him great strength. 🍉

This book was written from inside my tent… under the sound of shelling, between fear, cold, and hunger. Every day, I wrote to tell what we are living here in Gaza. These are not just words, but a whole life written between pain and hope. I hope you read it… maybe my words will reach your hearts, and maybe you will understand what we are going through. In Gaza, getting water isn't as simple as turning on a tap. It's a daily struggle that requires hours of waiting, physical endurance, and sheer determination. Help now: chuffed.org/project/help-u… Families wake up before dawn to join long queues at water distribution points. They carry heavy containers, sometimes walking kilometers just to fill a few gallons. Children, elderly people, and those with disabilities all stand in line together - because there's no other choice. And when sandstorms hit like the one we're seeing now, it becomes even more brutal. People inhale dust and sand while waiting for water. Their eyes burn, their lungs struggle, but they can't leave - because without water, there's no life. Our water trucks distribute an average of 250,000 liters daily across Gaza, but it's not enough. We want to double that capacity in the coming weeks so fewer people have to stand in these exhausting lines, so families can access clean water closer to their tents, so the struggle becomes a little less impossible. Donate to our Food & Water Campaign today to help us increase water distributions and ease the burden on Gaza's most vulnerable families: chuffed.org/project/help-u… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Water") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Ali (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Water")

Rabbi David Mivasair
Rabbi David Mivasair@RabbiMivasair·
I was asked just before Shabbat to provide a personal statement which a lawyer will draft into an affidavit to block the Zionist request for an injunction to block the Al Quds Day rally in Toronto tomorrow. Because this is one of my communities here, I want to share here what I wrote: _ _ _ I am Rabbi David Mivasair, a 74-year-old retired Canadian rabbi currently residing in Hamilton, Ontario. I served for nearly 25 years as the spiritual leader of two Vancouver synagogues, as a spiritual care provider for the Fraser Health Authority in British Columbia and the chaplain of the largest homeless shelter in British Columbia about fifteen years ago. I am a member of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association. I also hold a Master of Social Work degree and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Divinity. I have lived in Israel for four years and have returned a number of times to support the work on the ground there for peace and justice for everyone living in that land. I speak, read and write Hebrew and have been directly, personally involved with Israel and Palestine for well over fifty years. I am very aware of real antisemitism in our society. And, I am very aware of the intentional misuse of accusations of antisemitism for political reasons in our society as well. I am directly, personally familiar with the Al Quds Day rally in Toronto. I was a speaker at the Al Quds Day rally on April 15, 2023. I was invited by the organizers to speak at the rally as a rabbi, as exactly who I am. I am a Jew, a rabbi and, at this time in my life, I am an anti-Zionist, which is a perfectly legitimate position for anyone to hold on the question of Israel and Palestine. When I spoke at the Al Quds Day rally in 2023, other rabbis spoke there as well, as they do every year. Like me, they are also anti-Zionist Jews. None of us are anti-Jewish or antisemitic in any way. That is a preposterous proposition. Zionist organizations promote the belief that the Al Quds Day rally is antisemitic in order to shut down the public expression of completely legitimate political speech. There is absolutely no danger to any Jews anywhere because of what is said and done at the Al Quds Day rally. No one there expresses any intention to hurt any Jews in any way. There is no advocacy of violence. At the Al Quds Day rally there are calls for the elimination of the State of Israel. I myself make those calls. The State of Israel is a thoroughly racist endeavor which was founded on the expulsion and elimination of the majority of the Palestinian population of Palestine in 1948. It continues at the present to enforce on Palestinians over whom it rules a regime which most objective observers agree is accurately described as apartheid. And even at this very time, the State of Israel is conducting war crimes and what is determined by most experts to be a genocide against Palestinians. Calls for the elimination of the State of Israel are calls for it to be replaced by a state in which all are equal, just as in Canada. The elimination of the State of Israel is not synonymous with the elimination of or any harm to the Jewish population in Israel or any Jews anywhere in any way. It is simply the call for Jews in Israel to end their regime of ethnically-based domination and extreme inequality. Any claim of feeling fear by any Jews with regard to Al Quds Day, if it is in fact sincere and real, is because of their own intense identification with the State of Israel and their feeling that they will be harmed if the State of Israel ceases to exist. People feel fear for many reasons. Not all fear, which is a subjective emotion, actually correlates to any real threat. The feelings of fear expressed by some Jews regarding the Al Quds Day rally have no basis in anything at all that anyone says or does at that rally. Those feelings are simply their feelings. That does not mean that there is any actual, external reason for them to feel fear. Although there is strong rhetoric against the State of Israel, there is absolutely no threat to Jews. Claims by some Jews to feel fear need to be assessed in light of the reality that there is in fact no threat or danger to them. The subjective feelings of some people are not a basis on which to deny the charter rights of others.

This afternoon, I’ve instructed my Attorney General to pursue an injunction against the Al-Quds Day demonstration planned for Toronto. Hate, violence and intimidation have no place on the streets of Canada and our government will fight it however we can.

The cost of my reporting stared me in the face last week, when two Nazis showed up to try to intimidate me for my journalism on a private night out. But that’s far from the only fallout of my latest investigation. I took a few days, watching the reaction -- and now I’ve got much more to share:

We are almost at 10.000 followers. And yet a post about children learning in tent classrooms in Gaza gets dozens of views instead of thousands. Every single day we fight an algorithm that was never built for voices like ours. We are not asking for fame. Or trends. We just want the children to be seen. That is all and everything. If you are reading this, you can help. Go to our profile and interact with our tweets. Turn the notifications on. Because this platform won't do it for us. But you can💙. Follow us. #Wewillreadagain

Nope. Not true. No Jews have been targeted or harmed in any way. Someone fired some shots late at night at empty synagogue buildings. No one knows who did that or why. It's just as likely that it was done by people who want to distract from Israel's ongoing genocide and to portray Jews in Canada as a vulnerable minority requiring protecting by suppressing everyone else's civil liberities.
Pierre Poilievre@PierrePoilievre

Jews are being targeted in their homes, schools, and synagogues across Canada. Weak and divisive Liberal leadership emboldens criminals to commit more antisemitic violence. We need a Conservative plan to protect our people: ✅Enforce Canadian laws. ✅Kick out terror agents. ✅Lock up repeat violent offenders.
