These dark times a new publication seems almost irrelevant. But in this piece, I argue that the arts -including literature- can expose the inhumane ways in which authority and the law are instrumentalized, and highlight the need for empathy & solidarity juragentium.eu/wp-content/upl…

This is a reckless act of escalation that endangers us all. No discussion. No debate. What a disgrace. How on earth can the Prime Minister still pretend we are not involved? It doesn't matter how he dresses it up. Britain is participating in an illegal war of aggression.

This is wild. The @WhiteHouse plagiarized its reason for launching a war on Iran from @FDD, a cutout of Israeli intelligence. Side-by-side screenshots in the 🧵

The most definitive White House statement purporting to justify the Israel-US war on Iran was its March 2, 2026 statement entitled "The Iranian Regime's Decades of Terrorism against American Citizens". whitehouse.gov/articles/2026/… After a brief editorial opening, the article lists 44 incidents with a total of 992 US deaths. The source of the data wasn't given. Where did it come from? Unlike the Iraq war or the Russia collusion allegation, the reporting didn't come from an intelligence assessment, flawed or otherwise. It turns out that the list was plagiarized by the White House from a June 19, 2025 list (fdd.org/analysis/2025/…) prepared by a former AIPAC employee (Tzvi Kahn) for a think tank (FDD) founded "to provide education to enhance Israel's image in North America". The think tank's original identity was "EMET (Hebrew for 'truth')". The June 19, 2025 publication was literally on the eve of the first US bombing of Iran on June 21, 2025. In this thread, I'll compare each and every item in the White House statement to the corresponding item in the original list by the former AIPAC employee. The list is virtually identical. Any slight changes are always in the change of ratcheting up the underlying allegation.

Consistency. Law exists for a reason, protects all “in 2006 Israel fired more than four million cluster munitions into southern Lebanon…condemnations ring hollow in the wake of Israel’s vast destruction of residential buildings, schools, universities…agricultural lands in Gaza”

“I’m ready to get rid of the Muslims” Just straight up Nazi genocidal rhetorical from a prominent Republican senator. We have a crisis of Islamophobia in this country and anyone in public office who doesn’t call it out is complicit. Disgusting:

“I’m ready to get rid of the Muslims,” @SenTuberville tells me. “It’s time for them to go home.” "We've always had these people who really should be considered white nationalists and Christian fundamentalist nationalists," @Ilhan Omar tells me. "So it's not surprising that they want to ban a whole people because of their faith."

Across Lebanon, daily life has been replaced by uncertainty and survival. Families are displaced, services are strained, and the risk is constant. Yet even in these conditions, medical and humanitarian workers continue to save lives. Civilians must be protected, and the human cost of the conflict cannot be ignored. Hundreds of Jews and Palestinians gathered in Tel Aviv today to protest our government’s forever war in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, and Iran. We know this isn’t normal. We know all of us deserve better. Enough!

"Shameful." In an extraordinary interview, Pentagon whistleblower @WesJBryant sounds the alarm about what he calls a lack of concern for civilian casualties by the US in Iran. He was part of a Pentagon unit tasked with mitigating civilian harm, but it was gutted last year in government cuts. Worth watching in full.

Once again, the village of Taybeh—the last entirely Palestinian Christian village in the West Bank—has been stormed by Israeli settlers, who entered a cement factory and a stone quarry, raised an Israeli flag over the site, and announced their control over the area. Father Bashar Fawadleh, the Latin parish priest in the town, confirmed that residents are living under difficult conditions due to military barriers and checkpoints, calling on the international community to witness the reality on the ground and take steps to protect the Christian population. Father Bashar Fawadleh added: “We still have hope. We raise our voice to say that we are Palestinian civilian people. We want to live in peace. We want to live with justice… We ask the world to come and see, to stop these practices, and to allow us to live in safety and peace.” savewestbankchristians.com
