I don’t recall others taking the team into the Champions League twice or winning a trophy. It’s about looking at the bigger picture & applying context/understanding. Howe has overachieved. He’s allowed a poor season (which includes a Carabao semi final & CL last 16 @ Barcelona)

@Four_3_Three The problem is he’s had to work miracles to achieve most of that. That’s not sustainable. Performances have declined since early 2023, no sign of tactical growth. Champions league qualification came in down-years for traditional “big six”, both times limping over the line.

The Eddie Howe Out crew is failing to understand that the standard they are using to judge him is the standard that he himself set. He didn’t step into a club already qualifying for the CL and making cup finals. He’s worked miracles and got the club to a place we could only dream of. We all agree this season has been a disappointment, but to sack a manager capable of achieving what he has would be foolish after one bad season. He has earned the opportunity to turn things around. #NUFC

@mannion99 They’ve been in decline since before the first league cup final. Sounds ridiculous but honestly look at it - flaws started appearing in the system as other teams adjusted. And since then I find it hard to pinpoint any tactical adaptation over 3 years or so. Worrying.

So if Howe has one bad season in 5 .. do the 4 where we have had a good season not prove that this one is the exception to the rule? And as bad as this PL season has been we still made a LC semi final, progressed to KO stages of CL and had a decent run in FAC. #nufc
