@derschlumpy @BenjiNaesen Totally agree If the draft system would be implemented (not that it would happen but fun to speculate), it probably should be all pro and world tour teamsm, and have expanded promotion and relegation. How that impacts the conti teams would be the problem yes.

@NikolasRuffet @BenjiNaesen That's what I meant that you have to incorporate the value of young riders or better said the potential value of young riders. A draft system is inherently fair but also which teams are you gonna include? You can't include all teams that exist and then it's just unfair

@derschlumpy @BenjiNaesen Agreed, issue then would be how the distribution of U23 and junior talent would be. Nothing stoping UAE from signing the top rated junior and the L'Avenir winner every year. Not that i think it would be feasible but i would love to see a draft type system

@NikolasRuffet @BenjiNaesen And also it would be much fairer if you take it at transfer stage because you don't get punished if you bring out the maximum of a rider much more often than other teams would. But I think to have a fair measurement you need to incorporate age and potential.

@derschlumpy @BenjiNaesen Think this is also my biggest issue, hard for all 7 riders on a team to score points in the same race. UAE could still have Yates, Del Toro, McNulty, Morgado etc. as domestiques and make sure that they don't score points by sprinting for the remaining places

@BenjiNaesen I like the idea of having some sort of uci points limit. But I would much rather have it matter during transfers than each specific race. The uae dominance wouldn't be affected in my thinking. Because they don't really need all the heavy point scorers in one race.
