@InsideOut2912 @NairoInGreen with all the berta launch theories what if the plan is to have mcnulty & Großschartner/novak in the break &they launch pog on Turchino hoping for a group of 20-25 & with WC24 tratnik style satellite riders they go all in from 150km out
with eltorito & christen launch on berta

@InsideOut2912 mcnulty id throw in the break if he can make it to the foot of the cipressa for a death pool if he has to be there at least there's a greater chance of him being in position that way
English

@monarchoflife Yeah idk McNulty is good on 6% but I see your vision 🤔
English

@InsideOut2912 morgado would be better than mcnulty for the carpo but i can't guarantee his positioning
English

@InsideOut2912 @looflol If he had REAL BALLS, he’d slide down the mountain using a sleigh.

@nicomusiani Yes agree... lee people = less stress for Cipressa
English

@InsideOut2912 Exactly, and say you nuke it for 4 minutes with Vermeersch and Grossschartner to kill a bunch of domestiques, then have McNulty pull the 12 minutes before Cipressa to keep most away at 450W, positioning into Cipressa becomes a whole lot easier

Ik you can’t see everything in those YouTube videos, but it still surprises me that Capo Berta hasn’t seemed to play any role for UAE so far
It’s only 2 km, but they’re the steepest 2 km of the race 🤷🏻♂️

Some interesting tactical insights from the UAE yt video 👇🏽 Ofc you can’t see the whole briefing, but I’m surprised that the Capis aren’t mentioned in the ppt at all. Capo Berta should play a crucial role, imo, if Pog wants to win this race 🤔
English

@monarchoflife Yeah why not 🤔 rui might be better for that job
English

@InsideOut2912 switch morgado with rui olivera and we have a plan

GP Denain: Hagenes makes a move together with Segaert. He then decides to attack him and rides several kilometers a few meters ahead of Segaert instead of waiting and cooperating. The icing on the cake is Visma chasing behind to get a Top 5 for Zingle 👍🏽 #samenwinnen

@LottoIntermarch @Milano_Sanremo @DieZiege3 @JennoBerckmoes @liam_slock @g_immermann Nice team, but why not go for the W and take someone that can actually do it...

GP de Denain🇨🇵
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Tibor Del Grosso
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Arnaud de Lie, Meeus
⭐️⭐️⭐️Hagenes, Segaert, GVermeersch
⭐️⭐️Morgado, APhilipsen, HAlvarez, Van Moer
⭐️Molano, Bissegger, Bol, Politt, Teutenberg
Always one of the most exciting races on the calendar The race is incredibly unpredictable.
Expect: constant attacks, crashes and punctures and chaotic racing.
In other words, the kind of chaos cycling fans love to watch.
My Pick to Win: Tibor Del Grosso
My prediction for victory goes to Tibor Del Grosso.
He was aggressive earlier this season, going on the attack at the Strade Bianche we haven’t seen much from him so far but i believe this season he will level up and why not starting that already at this race
Last year he finished 25th in this race but he’s a rider who seems to be steadily improving and clearly targeting a stronger result this time around.
Given the terrain and the racing style expected, this could be a*great opportunity for him to step up.
Riders to Watch
Arnaud De Lie
Great for this race although we probably haven’t seen his very best form yet this season. Perhaps the GP de Denain could be the race where he really shines.
Jordi Meeus
Muse already finished 2nd here in 2021.
While the course has changed since then, he’s currently in excellent form and adapts well to this terrain.
The Dangerous Attackers
The most interesting part of this race might come from the aggressive attackers.
I picked Del Grosso because I can see him winning either from an attacking group (a very realistic scenario) or even from a reduced sprint Personally, I imagine a finish similar to Matthew Brennan’s victory last year.
Some riders who could animate the race:
* Alec Segaeet – looked outstanding at the Nokere Koerse narrowly missing victory after a very strong solo attack.
* Per Strand Hagenes– already active in breakaways this season and came close to a big result at Le Samyn.
* Gianni Vermeersch – always dangerous on this type of terrain and well suited to aggressive racing.
* Héctor Alvarez- another highly attacking rider who has been in excellent form recently.
* Brent Van Moer – also an offensive rider who won’t hesitate to take risks.
* Antonio Morgado - No words needed.
* Maxime Jarnet– could quietly fight his way into the Top 10 he already did that via breakaway, has been riding well and Van rysel has been one of the best conti teams so far.
