If Felix Gall keeps climbing like this, I don't see how anyone can beat him for 2nd place. With this form he doesn't lose more than 1:30 to Pellizzari in the ITT (probably not more than 2:30 from Jonas)

DRAMA AT TOUR DE HONGRIE AND FLECHE DU SUD 😳 We had of course the Giro today, but what a drama it was at other races… I will start with the Tour de Hongrie. Jakob Söderqvist from LIDL-Trek was in the breakaway, it was still 26 km to go, but suddenly the organizers decided that, because of the rain, riders would do no more laps and that was the final lap. So suddenly it was not 26 km to go, but 4 km to go. UAE had calculated that the breakaway would be brought back and that Cosnefroy would move into the overall lead, but suddenly everything changed. What added even more drama was that the organisers didn’t neutralise the GC standings. Instead, they kept the times from the revised finish line, meaning Söderqvist now leads the GC by 40 seconds with just one flat stage remaining. UAE and Cosnefroy were clearly frustrated and disappointed by the decision. And at the Luxembourg race Fleche du Sud, Visma went the wrong way in the final sprint but were still given the same time as the stage winner. At first, they lost the GC lead, but the jury later reversed the decision. Since it was a circuit finish, the riders had already crossed the line three times earlier in the race. Visma’s DSs then went to the jury to argue their case and apply pressure. What a day and to be honest I don’t agree with any of those decisions.

No idea whether there was actually a signalling error in the final kms, but imo it doesn’t really change much since it was a loop circuit and they’d already ridden the same section 3 times, so by that point they must’ve known the route pretty well🤷🏻‍♂️ Really gutted for Wenzel 💔

@SteinhauerRikke @InsideOut2912 Visma went the wrong way in the final sprint, but got the same time as the winner. Initially they lost the GC lead, but the jurys decision overturned that. It was a loop, so they had already passed the finish 3 times before that. The visma DS’s came to the jury to put pressure

@InsideOut2912 Let visma win sud development race. I picture their DS running over in a developement race their bring their WT team and plea the jury to take the time earlier simply cause they rode wrong. Gotte be a new low even for visma after they become as mid as they have. Funny af🤣

The reality is unfortunately that Visma probably won’t come back to such a small race if different decisions are made. WT teams have that kind of influence in smaller races. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@InsideOut2912 I would wait for more context about how it happend before jumping into conclusions. Probably there was a organization mistake on signaling the route.
