Why in the Kentucky fried DEI hell is a female prison guard in a male prison, much less a pod with lifers? Inmates in those places are generally two varieties. "Leave me alone, and I'll leave you alone." and "Hannibal Lector". Treat one like the other and you'll get your head handed to you.

A life-sentence inmate is woken up by an officer. The inmate stays calm and politely asks the officer multiple times to stop cussing at him. The officer gets dismissive, keeps cursing, orders him to cuff up, and when he doesn’t move fast enough, pepper-sprays him. That’s when the inmate snaps and attacks the officer. The whole situation escalated so quickly. Who do you think was more in the wrong here — the officer for being aggressive and ignoring his repeated polite requests, or the inmate for reacting violently after being pepper sprayed?
