@LostPlayhouse Sachin was never a full-time bowler, hence his bowling stats are ordinary. My point was that he was not only the greatest batter but also had top class skills in bowling and fielding that made him a truly complete player.

@NonPlyingChar You do realise that among bowlers who took more than 70 FC wickets, and there are thousands of them, Sachin's average (with just 71 wkts in 310 matches) is the worst of any player in history (61.74)? Please stop reinventing him as a master bowler when he was nothing of the sort.

Sachin Tendulkar wasn’t just the greatest batter ever. He was the closest thing cricket has ever seen to a perfect cricketer, not just in technique but in his total presence. He bowled medium pace early in his career, then switched to spin , off-spin and leg-spin, depending on the batsman, changing styles mid-spell like it was nothing. He was a true genius who read the game and batsmen, and bowled accordingly. In the field he was elite. He was pinpoint accurate, remember his match-winning catch of Inzy. Off the field he was the ultimate gentleman- calm, humble, and respectful in every interview, with zero controversy. Pure class personified, he is the true ambassador of cricket. Listen to his retirement speech and you will realise how great he was.

1996 and 1996 are the worst jerseys for India. 1992 is the best. Every blue jersey from 2004 onwards is good.
