@vikram_tuteja For Australia and Zimbabwe, 99 was the best; for others, it could be debatable.

The 1999 Cricket World Cup had the best jerseys. These iconic 1999 kits featured oversized fits, bold colors, and unique team-specific graphics from Southern Cross stars and lightning bolts to silver ferns, tigers, and lions. Which one is your favorite? Australia India Pakistan Sri Lanka New Zealand South Africa England Zimbabwe Bangladesh Kenya

@NonPlyingChar 1999 world cup also had best format in my opinion with each group stage match having importance instead of playing countless matches to ensure some teams aren't out in first round.

@vineetrajouri He is a pioneer of fast bowling in India and inspired many generations. He took more than 400 wickets. You need to be street smart to achieve these milestones.

Sachin Tendulkar wasn’t just the greatest batter ever. He was the closest thing cricket has ever seen to a perfect cricketer, not just in technique but in his total presence. He bowled medium pace early in his career, then switched to spin , off-spin and leg-spin, depending on the batsman, changing styles mid-spell like it was nothing. He was a true genius who read the game and batsmen, and bowled accordingly. In the field he was elite. He was pinpoint accurate, remember his match-winning catch of Inzy. Off the field he was the ultimate gentleman- calm, humble, and respectful in every interview, with zero controversy. Pure class personified, he is the true ambassador of cricket. Listen to his retirement speech and you will realise how great he was.

Alec Stewart made the white helmet iconic with his artistic batting style! We should bring back the white helmet in Test cricket!

Right, you have correctly pointed out that outlier one match where MacGill dominated, but in the rest of the matches where they were neck and neck, in terms of average MacGill had a 24 and Shane Warne had a 28, which shows MacGill performed better in those matches as well. It was a treat to watch them play together!

@NonPlyingChar That side-by-side record comes down to one match v Eng in 1999, when Warne only snared 2 wkts while MacGill took 12 wkts. In their other 15 matches together, Warne was slightly ahead (72 wkts to 70). I did often wish the selectors would give them more games in tandem.

Stuart MacGill is the most underrated gem. I genuinely felt he spun the ball bigger and sharper than Shane Warne, his wrong'un was a monster. He got overshadowed by the Shane Warne, maybe because of Warne's sheer ability to make things happen out of nowhere. But when we look at the stats from when they played together, MacGill actually performed better: In the 16 Tests they played together, MacGill outperformed Warne (82 wkts @ 22.1 vs 74 @ 29.6). When Warne was out, MacGill delivered match-winning spells. Warne had the aura and consistency on flat tracks, but on a helpful pitch? MacGill often looked more dangerous. If he had played for any other country, he’d be remembered as the best leg-spinner of his generation.
