Pleased to visit this site in Northenden for 20 new low carbon, affordable homes, including 10 homes for social rent. Due for completion in February 2025. Built on former council land, we have worked with @wythenshawe_chg to bring forward these much needed homes in Northenden.🏡

There are also more affordable homes being built in Northenden with @wythenshawe_chg. 85 affordable homes at the former @TheMcrCollege site in Northern Moor and 16 affordable homes on the high street on Palatine Road too.🏡

🎶🎄This year's @ManCityCouncil #Northenden District Centre Christmas Lights Switch On event is on Sat 30 November. It starts from 5.30pm, with lights switched on at approx 6pm. With carols, special guests - and, of course, mince pies! 🎄🦌🎅

Great to be out with @CllrSLynch and @CllrAngelaMoran as well as @NorthendenLab members to speak to residents on Patterdale Road, Morrell Road and Weston Grove. Thanks to all the residents who took the time to talk to us about the issues of concern to them.

It is a huge privilege to be asked by the Prime Minister to serve as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department for Transport. It’s an honour to serve alongside @LouHaigh @LordPeterHendy @LilianGreenwood and @simonlightwood in government.

Manchester is already cracking on with building 36,000 new homes to 2032- at least 10,000 of which are council, social and genuinely affordable low carbon homes. Excited to work with @AngelaRayner @mtpennycook and @JimfromOldham to build the homes we need.

Great to attend the @WatkinSociety blue plaque unveiling at @mcr_central for Absalom & Edward Watkin. This will serve as a permanent commemoration of these two great social reformers who did so much for Northenden, Manchester & beyond. Well done to Geoff, Andrew & all involved
