Well what a night we had. Angela Rayner MP came to Dagenham last night. Angela is pictured at the Trades Hall Dagenham in Village ward. Angela mentioned how hard working the three councillors , Ajanta, Julia and Phil work. Angela went through the achievements of the local council, and my work as an MP. Angela is an inspiration to many, and is certainly is to me .

Labour-run Southwark Council is now the biggest council housebuilder in the country. They kept libraries open through austerity. Pioneered free school meals. And protected parks and youth centres. Don't let anyone take this backwards. On 7th May, vote Labour. 🌹

A secure home was the foundation that I built my life on. It was good to be in Peckham with @Miatsf and the Labour team - seeing the record number of council homes they have delivered for residents 🌹

Today, on Yom HaShoah, we commemorate the six million Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust. We pay tribute to their memory and renew our resolve to confront and eliminate antisemitism in all its forms.

My pleasure to welcome @Keir_Starmer @AndyBurnhamGM and @bphillipsonMP to Holy Trinity primary school in Ashton this morning. 33 new free breakfast clubs will open across Greater Manchester this week, giving 10,000 more children a free, healthy start to the school day. That’s Labour on your side. 🌹

This Passover is especially meaningful as families gathered against a backdrop of rising antisemitism. Labour is proud to support Jewish communities in practising their faith safely and freely. Chag Sameach!

I’m heartbroken to learn of the death of Eamonn Boylan today. A true servant of Stockport and Greater Manchester, a giant in the worlds of housing, regeneration and local government, but also a wonderful man. He will be very much missed.

This result must be a wake up call. It’s time to really listen - and to reflect. Voters want the change that we promised - and they voted for. If we want to unrig the system, if we want to make the change we were sent into Government to make, we have to be braver. A labour agenda that puts people first. That’s what all of us across our movement need to rededicate ourselves to this morning.
