When @NotMrKevin likes one of your sniping clips

Huge update on chase! Chase got his tracheostomy this morning and seemed much more comfortable. They did the filter this afternoon and since he got back have had the ventilator pretty much off…he’s breathing great on his own and at a normal rate and depth…which was the problem before when they’d do the breathing trials!! We are hopefully not being too optimistic but we are very excited about it! Hopefully it means they can get him off the vent very soon. His nurse has already started weaning the sedation as he was still on a lowered amount and he’s opened his eyes and wiggled around in the bed some! We are very encouraged and praying for no more setbacks! Liver is staying steady and they’re thinking now that he’s actually getting some feeds it will start waking up. Remains on 12-hr dialysis and they’re still optimistic his right kidney will perk up and tell us in can take a couple of months. Today was a good day!
