@weirdfishes002 I see, my sympathies. Im curious what made you choose to architectural engineering. Im doing Civil rn but im considering switching to Architecture
@NovacaneFC it was a in the moment thing, i love my major but my professors this semester are so incompetent and there’s definitely some academic misconduct happening .
A guy named nbatman on Reddit accidentally built the most useful website on the internet.
It's called FMHY (Free Media Heck Yeah).
This is the website Google delisted from search for DMCA violations, Reddit shadow-banned for promoting piracy, the Motion Picture Association flagged as a top piracy threat, and the RIAA pressured hosting providers to drop. It is still online. It is still updated every month.
Here's how it works.
FMHY is the index. The wiki itself hosts nothing. It just tells you where every free thing on the internet actually lives, organized into 14 categories with safety ratings on every single link.
→ Movies and shows in 4K from 50+ streaming sites
→ Music at Spotify and Apple Music quality
→ Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, JetBrains
→ Every paid course on every major learning platform
→ 100 million books and papers through Anna's Archive
→ Free alternatives to every paid AI tool
→ A SafeGuard browser extension that flags unsafe sites in real time
It started as a single Google Doc maintained by one Reddit moderator in 2018. Google killed it with a DMCA takedown in 2023.
The community rebuilt the wiki on its own domain, mirrored it to GitHub and IPFS, and now runs it across 12 backup domains simultaneously.
There is no company. No CEO. No central server. Six anonymous volunteers maintain the entire thing in their spare time. Donations through Ko-fi pay for the hosting. Nobody profits.
Hollywood can't shut this down. Spotify can't shut this down. Adobe can't shut this down.
The entire subscription economy is held together by you not knowing this wiki exists.

@M_Sims9412@SummerSalts we only have one life why not try to change? I understand the destiny part I truly do. I'm trying to change mine and it constantly feels like swimming upstream. But it's doable
@SummerSalts That’s a cope, we have very little control of our destiny, it’s largely the family we are born into, and if you are born into a broken home, poor financially, no God given talents, not physically attractive you have no chance with anything in life, and that is more true than ever
Hinge sucks because I like this guy but I can't even save him because I'm having a conversation(the same one) with several people and I need to respond back to 13 people minimum before I'm allowed to say hi.
I remember one of my teachers in secondary school saying that if you want to pursue your career in school (either as a teacher, or something in university), you should really spend a few years away from school to broaden your horizons, otherwise you are literally going to
I never went and I design and detail structural steel, foundations, piping, refractory structures, and custom mechanical equipment. I can use Autocad and Inventor, and some Advance Steel. I've also done a little Revit. All on the job training and experience. Degreed engineers rely heavily on guys like me. 🤷♂️
The moment they democratized college was the moment it completely lost its value.
If everyone is a college graduate, nobody is a college graduate.
College was already irrelevant enough before AI -- now it's even negative signalling.
Showing that you don't have what it takes to make it in this world without needing to acquire credentials by pawning away 4 years of your absolute youth/prime.
Instead of getting your feet dirty in the mud and building something worthwhile from the ground-up.
@fastrlife The part about stopping at nothing to actualize your dream is so true. I spent 2 years being depressed and listening to negative people around me (even including my parents sadly) who've been trying to discourage me. But this year I will fight tooth and nail to achieve my dreams
Advice for <25 guys:
1. Spend as little time at home as possible
2. Stake zero emotional investment in things that are yet to come
3. Only drink/party if you have something worth celebrating
4. Legit never be upset about a girl, you can always find someone hotter/cooler
5. Most “friendships” at your age are proximity, not loyalty. Don’t confuse the two until someone proves otherwise
6. Never explain yourself to people who don’t have what you want
7. Go somewhere alone, different city, different country. You don’t know who you actually are until there’s no one around who already decided
8. The men you admire who are ~40 didn’t get there by being reasonable in their 20s
9. Audition, fight, pitch, approach. Shame tolerance is an actual skill
10. If you have a dream, stop at nothing to actualize it. Letting anything get in the way is failure of the highest regard
@jimbo68589146@zybach717 get into a social circle of younger people, look at environments where a woman like that is more likely to appear. Perhaps church, physical stuff like the gym or sports, uni campuses, etc
@zybach717 so how to maximally put yourself out there? cold approach campuses as a 30 year old or what? like what are the actual strategies one could employ
getting best girls is pure lottery
i mean actual 9/10 18 year old virgins
the more you put yourself out there the highest of a chance u get
but stuff like looksmaxxxing or status doesnt actually help that much
thats the reason why even world famous athlestes usually end up with not so impressive girls
but just getting 1 of the girls will increase quality of the entire life's trajectory 1000 fold more than anything else could
DO NOT MOVE TO A SMALL TOWN IF YOU ARE SINGLE
REPEAT
DO NOT MOVE TO A SMALL TOWN IF YOU ARE SINGLE
PROCEED TO THE NEAREST COOL COLLEGE TOWN OR REGIONAL CITY AND AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS
being unemployed is the only way to ascend.
the number of books you have to read,
the amount of mental chasms you have to cross,
the massive amount of wealth you have to accrue,
can ONLY be done with an entirely empty calendar every day.
normies using phrases like
"touch grass" "breaking news for the unemployed" etc.
are just projections of their desire to drag outliers (like you)
back into the grey masses of NPCs.
quit your job right now. fuck a safety net.
your highest aim in life is to be unemployed.
Weirdos and outcasts should be identified and helped from afar.
Never agitated.
I’ve had enough experience with them to know bullying is the worst thing you can do, and it’s rarely them who suffers the most sincere and violent punishment.
One weird kid in school was an Indian boy with a high pitched voice and a lumpy oestrogenic physique.
Pointy chest, and a jiggly belly walk.
Used to get picked on to a moderate degree and you could tell he had a pent up rage. He’d write so hard he occasionally tore through the paper.
I always noticed it. Was kind to him, but learned to keep my distance. Time bomb.
One day we were playing cricket at lunchtime and they told him he was out when he wasn’t.
He snapped.
He took his cricket bat and smashed the head of the kid nearest him repeatedly until he was unconscious. Then kept screaming.
People with such internal rage are more common now, because society bludgeons them at every opportunity.
Spirits are crushed.
It’s never been more dangerous to agitate or rage bait. Most are already filled with it.
They’ll look for any excuse to release their anger.
Not worth making yourself a target.
i dont think you understand how serious the great lock in from August to December 2025 is. you can feel it in your bones, the air starts tasting different, there's a restlessness in your soul that knows something is shifting. 2016 all over again.
