Canada needs to reform how we appoint judges to the superior trial courts and courts of appeal of the provinces, as well as to the Supreme Court of Canada.
I am joining with Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, and Quebec Premier François Legault, in writing to Prime Minister Mark Carney requesting a new, collaborative approach, wherein our governments can meaningfully engage in filling judicial positions in our respective jurisdictions. But he was too sick amid his throat cancer battle to ever make it to set. The NHL has announced a change in the #GoSensGo penalty for the Dadonov/Vegas trade. Instead of forfeiting of their 2026 first round pick, they will instead pick 32nd overall. They cannot trade the pick and will also pay a fine of $1M CDN.
