Mad Max 1 is funny because modern audiences expect a full apocalypse but there's still a (semi) functioning police department and boomer tourists driving around in caravans

Mad Max depicts the apocalypse as a process not an event. I think they stumbled into this approach basically by accident, but it's a much more grounded portrayal of state failure and societal collapse than you normally see in film.

@chazzerrobo He is a bit like Yas in that regard. Honestly from a story and directing perspective I do think everyone generally thinks the first 6 episodes of MS team are good. Even with the Gouf fight the later half is just boring. (IMO) it’s just mech animation at that point
