Please understand the calibre of Arjuna. He was a jīvanamukta sādhaka who was deemed fit to hear Gītā first hand and witness vishwarūpa. He did tapas as Narayan’s companion before taking birth as Arjuna. He is incarnation of Indra and a brahmagñāni puruSha. Arjun is epitome of what sādhaka can be - a PūrNa puruSha Himself. Nothing against Èkalavya or karNa or any other favourite one may have due to current caste related abhinivesha. They were great warriors too. But please don’t compare with Arjuna. He alone (without any preperation) defeated entire Kaurava army when they invaded Matsya-desha. Arjun is an individual who is singleminded and focused on self-improvement. He grasps all the good qualities from everyone and everything around him (hence the name Arjun - comes from arjana - to earn/grasp/assimilate). He is an ideal human being. So much was his thirst for perfection that He reached paramapada too. Flawlessly. A true Mahātma.
