There are some criticisms coming out of the UCU branch-level boycotts and local agreements, including of my own branch @uonucu. These criticisms raise valid issues, but some risk misrepresenting what could/should be a really encouraging experience, strengthening UCU as a whole.

Kings speech gives hope for workers in the UK.

Improving the quality of work is hugely popular with voters across the political spectrum and can raise living standards. Delivering the New Deal in full will improve the working lives of millions and help turn the page on an era of low pay, low rights and low productivity.
