When Republicans were in power, they had a ballot referendum to enshrine Right to Work in the Virginia constitution. They worded the ballot question like a piece of legislation, with multiple sub-sections specifying what part of the Constitution would be amended under what circumstances. The entire thing looked like it was written by lawyers, for lawyers. No one understood what it was or meant, so even the GOP's own voters voted NO. When Democrats took power, they literally said on the ballot question that their 10-1 gerrymander plan would "restore fairness". There should be a lesson for you here. One side is serious about winning at all costs, and the other side honestly doesn't care if they win or lose. They just want to make sure that they lose "legally".

r/BannedBooks celebrates over Amazon banning "Camp of the Saints" The comments are wild: "As a librarian that's not actually a book, I would remove it from my library" "I don't like book bans, but..." "It's not a book ban because it's a private company"

Saying the words "white people" in front of a room of white people is WILD, I did it recently. Watch what happens around you... EXTREME discomfort. White people have been conditioned to believe that even saying the words "white people" is a slur. That to even acknowledge themselves as a group, is itself, an act of racism. Really, it's just an insane thing to realize how successful the psychological operation has been. An entire group of people have been taught to be afraid of their own name, taught that noticing themselves is a truly evil thing to do. Yet, simultaneously, taught that EVERY OTHER demographic can speak about itself like that, but if YOU say "White people" it's a slur. The operation was SO successful, it's insane.

These are my Portland City counselors, doing basically everything but paying attention to public testimony. They are talking to each other, eating pizza, laughing and yawning. They each make $133k a year.

Right wingers when they introduce a conspiracy theory will at least have an oddity, weird coincidence, or a set of facts on why they think something is fake. Left wingers shout "It's fake" hold their breath and shake their head with nothing more than that. While right wing conspiracy theories can be dumb the reason they tend to turn out to be true is because there is at least some evidence to support something more happened. The left are just children.

The Supreme Court is still waiting to issue a ruling on Louisiana v Callais. It seems like we’ll get a ruling on this case in May. As Justice Alito has yet to write a majority opinion this term, the rumor is he might write an opinion on this case that would weaken or even strike down Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. If that were to happen, it would essentially mean that Democrats are no longer entitled to nearly a dozen free Congressional seats in Red states every two years. We need Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida to immediately redistrict and dismantle their DEI districts the moment SCOTUS permits them to.
