Michigan reported 8,105,524 registered voters in 2020. Michigan had 7,562,464 citizens of voting age in 2020. Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) opposes the Save America Act. Senator Gary Peters won by 92,335 votes in 2020. @SenGaryPeters

I voted NO because the SAVE Act would make it harder for law-abiding American citizens to vote, especially married women, seniors, and Americans in rural areas. We need to make sure our elections are safe and secure. That doesn’t mean we should prevent Americans from exercising their Constitutional right to vote.

Michigan’s been extra windy lately—but that doesn’t mean we’re getting more power from the turbines across the state. In fact, wind turbines are required to shut down in high winds because of safety concerns. Here’s more from David Stevenson, the Mackinac Center’s energy and environmental policy director.

Here it is: Michigan’s dead voters are back—and voting again via mail-in ballots. Secretary of State @JocelynBenson is putting dead voters back on her voter rolls after they were removed by a court order. 25,975 dead people identified on Michigan’s voter rolls 95% of the dead voters are marked active: • 23,663 had been dead for five years or more • 7,479 had been dead for at least 10 years • 3,956 had been dead for at least 20 years Including registrants born before 1921, making them over 100 years old. “Democrat Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson was notified of this data and refused to do anything. This violates Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act, which requires states to make a reasonable effort to remove ineligible voters (including deceased ones) from the rolls.” ⸻ Michigan State Rep. Rachelle Smit: “I took off a dead voter in my township, and guess what? That dead voter was put back on.” “There was a family member who at one point was registered at my in-laws’ home, and that family member had died nearly 20 years prior. They were put on the rolls in 2020. They were mailed voter application ballots without authorization.” Pass the SAVE America Act at once.
